went to highpoint halfway house today with mr ng and minxuan. i felt the old sv feeling creepin back. its really weird. now my mind's swimming with ideas. i shall make one of them come true one day. ;) oh but im pretty proud of myself cos my brain is still working. i can still make astute observations (ta-daaa!)

anw smthg really quite remarkable happened today. this uncle called me up and asked if i knew a young girl by the name of *****. i didnt recognise the name but the uncle continued to say that he picked up a wallet and it had my name and number and email add on it. so i thot for a while and i realised it shd be one of the east spring girls' wallet! anw i met up with this uncle who was really nice and kind to return the wallet. when i saw the photo on the ez-link card i immediately recognised the girl. ;) anw tmr im going down to the sch to return the wallet. since im so free.

bum bum

alright so ive been bumming around for three days alr. and i guess i do like it. so far. i looked into the newspapers today and i saw alot of recruit express stuff, guess i might be callin them up pretty soon. cant sit arnd and do nthg rite.
i tried paintin my lamp today but it turned out horribly ugly because the paint wont stay on the surface of the lamp, so you dont get a solid colour. and the texture's blimey. so i washed it off (its washable!! hai.) and now its white again. shall try again tmr. maybe i shd try smthg else, lk dots or smthg. easier huh;)

anw had driving again today and yay my instructor said im gd. although i still mount kerb when i did the sharp turn in the circuit but hey, fourth lesson only and im almost done with module one. woohoo. actually i was dreading driving lessons cos well, its scary (although in a fun way) and i really think its a waste of money cos its so expensive. but oh wells ive already started so i cant stop now. its lk eating junk food.

i think im falling in love with my new hse. i love the wind even though it blows the curtains all over the place and tying them up is a chore. and sometimes it gets quite cold in the night. and the ouside traffic is quite noisy. but i lk my hse;) its airy and bright and my room's yellow haha so, yay. :)

did i say ive been replaced?

well today marks my last day in my law firm. ive been replaced by a permanent secretary. i bought a box of nice biscuits frm marks&spencer and i went around offering them to my colleagues. i think it was a great way to strike up a conversation with them, over delicious smelling chocolate biscuits (esp when its late morn and everyone's hungry but you know its not really time for lunch yet;) ) and oh wells. ahha. its great talkin to ppl and gettin to know them and what they've done in their life. this lawyer who works really hard actually talked to me for bout ten minutes, and eventually tried to get me to buy a book about law from one of our colleagues. (haha). and then i went out for lunch with this funny colleague of mine who's really friendly and hip (cos she loves shoes too hee) and we actually went all the way to bras basah cos she wanted to get this precious moment bible. girlsss.:)
but too bad i wont ever get to see them again. but quite an experience.

today was my first driving lesson. today was also the first time i ever touched a steering wheel. today was also the first time i felt a car stall. five times. or maybe more, i didnt keep count.
tmr will be better. :) but it definitely was fun driving a car. woohoo!

haha aust was fun(sorry this is lk, a wk late). i love the weather. its cold and sunny. but everytime the wind blows i wished i was back in singapore. i dont think i can stand cold weather that well.. as much as i love cold winds, i dont think i wld wan to live with it all my life!
and i lk melb's fashion. its all long skirts and half tops and big chunky necklaces and big belts. haha. and its summer sale over there now, although it isnt VERY cheap but hey its still quite a bargain. heh i just love shoppin. only thg bout melb was that u cant shop for shoes cos they nv have my size.
was abit sad coming back to singapore. i kept thinking about going back to work and how dreadful it wld be. but oh well today i helped to draft documents cos these few days my boss is really quite busy. and haha now everyone knows how fierce she can get. its scary, but then again i try not to cross her path too much:)
i had a really gd lunch with bing today. ate at asian kitchen(heh) and had xiao long baos(ha). cant wait for xiamen. then we can have it everyday! ahha.

im just glad the washing machine's fixed so we can finally wash clothes. and i spent the whole of last night ironing clothes. its not working i tell you. clothes never straighten. bad iron. haha today my dad did it and he finished it hahaha. yeah my dad rocks;)

i need to go exercise real soon. i really can feel the fats burning when i sit and slouch at my desk every day.

gong xi fa cai

helloo everyone happy new yr! i spent three wonderful days in malaysia and am going to spend five more wonderful days in australia. i think i liked this yr's cny cos i got to talk to many of my relatives and also not talk to my least favourite relatives HA.
too bad i didnt get to go eug's hse this noon (heard the boys got dark and vulgar tsktsk) but i went for silicon valley gathering once i got back frm malaysia. not alot were present but i think it still made me feel lk a great passioneer. just that i honestly think no one can ever do a replicate of our sv trip. but it felt great to recall my time spent in usa.
yup okay im flyin off later tonight so everyone take care. have a great chinese new yr!

lunch-time

yay ill be meeting eug this sat so we can go shoppin (okay, so I can go shoppin;) and maybe ill drag her to the library too. i seriously think i shd learn to read more.

i realised that if i write about my work experiences it shd be quite interesting for all you friends of mine to read.

anw in short lets just say now i know how to make warm water. ie. mix normal water with hot water from thermos flask.

also. i know how to ask my boss questions about everythg before we actually send smthg off. she nearly gave me a heart attack when she asked for a courier to help send smthg off. luckily i asked the courier how long he'd take to send the stuff or we'd never have found out. i called the courier boss up and he was so nice. gosh. i must have sounded terribly worried anw:)

anw yesterday we had wonderful popeye's chicken with bock n janice. after dinner we must have walked that stretch of airport five times, up and down. haha. and we went to all the couple hot-spots. ahhaha. oh n i bought turkish delight frm candy empire shop. think narnia.. ;)
the nxt time im travellin, eg. 31st jan, i wanna go in early and shop! or look arnd. or at least eat inside. then when we come back... oh darn cant. i wanted to go check out the swimming pool. anw i took the brochere so i know all the gd stuff inside alr;)

i brought the chinese book that my mum gave me for my 18th birthday to work today. spent the whole day reading it.
i strongly suspect my boss now gives me less work cos she's afraid ill make mistakes. heehee.
anw. yup so i've actually been reading chinese the whole day and thinking in chinese too! cool i shall start writing chinese poems hurmphhh u think only gracia can write poems that rhymes? ill write one in chinese HAH.
yeah okay im talkin rubbish. dont count on me on prose n poetry. lit is totally out of my league.

i think i shd go to the library soon.
i also think i shd go buy new yr clothes before new yr actually comes and i have to resign to wearing not-so-new clothes.
i think i shd go exercise more, i can (gulp) feel the fats piling up on my hips. i want no big butt.

banana crumble

met up with my class girls today! was lookin forward to it all week;) anw we just wanted to wish eug happy birthday(hugs) i sang her a birthday song really loudly in swensons. hee. then of cos we had our cheapo shoppin. we had fun laughing at all the silly this fashion clothes ahha. ba was going crazy over all the furry jackets (i really wonder who actually wears them in sg.. if they dont die of heatstroke first) and janice had fun picking out polka-dotted/yellow/funny-looking clothes for me. haha. but there were really quite a few polka dotted stuff. reminded me of 'hot chick'. you know, that plump lady who had a guy playing twister on her. ahhaha.

i actually cant wait for chorale tmr. though i know we wont start singing (lazy bumss). ;)
n i actually msged all the guys in tekong bout chorale tmr. bahh.

im not thick skinned enough

have been slackin the whole of this morn cos my boss is on leave and she didnt sign any of the letters so ive got nthg to do. i even finished reading wuthering heights, to the point that i got so engrossed in it, ppl had to call me quite a few times before i could recollect my senses and answer them coherently.
so when my colleages asked me to go for this celebratory lunch (for some guy gettin a promotion) i declined cos i felt bad for slacking.ahha.
darn i shd have went. though i dont see alot of ppl going...

but anw im lookin forward to meeting my girls later this evening. ahha. may ah, we're gettin lazy.. gra n bing beat us to organising it! ah! hahaha. ;) anw i cant wait to chill out.

may i remind everyone that i kena conjunctivitis in malaysia. as if my eyes arent small enough alr, imagine my horror waking up in the morn with a swollen left eye. i was so horrified i was in a bad mood. but hey it took less than a day to clear up so im happy again.
im vain abt my eyes.

my grandma cooked up a feast on sat nite, n everyone came back for the dinner. it felt lk cny alr;) minus the free flow of soft drinks and cny goodies (although they kept eating wangwang it doesnt really count) my grandma was in such a gd mood i dont think ive seen her in a better mood.

im startin to crave for subway. the yummy toasted honey oat bread, the fresh lettuce and the crunchy tomatoes. minus the olives. together with the cookies of cos.

im a cookie monster.

life's gettin to be a routine

its easy to fall into the office-job 9-5 kind of routine. you wake up every day, catch (almost) the same bus, go to work, do ur work, go for lunch, do ur work, go home. then watch tv, do some reading or what-have-yous, then sleep. and then the whole thg repeats itself all over again.
now i really dont blame those working class people from gettin fat with all that sitting down and no exercising. who in the right mind wld go put herself through extra pain and torture??
well maybe its just my workplace, that everyone's always busy and looking a little flustered if you ask me. everyone's really on the job, and theres always work coming in. but not exactly the most friendly environment if you ask me. im used to having loud friends arnd me.
anw tmr is gonna be a very special day cos its gonna be the day where i wear (lo and behold) yellow to work! hooray. i just koped beige coloured pants from my mum so i can match the top ;) you see im tryin to get out of wearin shades of black and white to work, which i've been doing so for the past, five working days. today i wore purple. and the silky skirt frm g2000 is simply the most comfortable thg ever next to your skin. go grab it! is it still on sale??
but i still think pay is a sad issue but lets not talk bout it anymore shall we.

dont think ive told everyone yet but hey,i found a job. im a secretary at a law firm. quite alot of stuff to do, not that im the secretarial material (think hian yin.. i dont come close to her!) but hey at least im earning some money although the more i count the more i think its peanuts. but ah. at least its some money.
the only thg is that i dont really have corporate clothes to wear. im wearing all my mum's clothes but i really dont have a 24-inch waist. really.

thanks bra for the lunch. it was nice of u to treat all 11 of us.. although i honestly felt lk i was just there to dig money out frm u ;) the grilled fish was really yummy. filled me up till 11 today. so yup thanks a lot n hope u had a great birthday.

cant wait for 'picnic' tmr. though i strongly suspect ill exercise my persuading powers and make everyone go marina square.

carolin was fun. haha. i never thought marcus wld be fierce. who wld have thot the guy who cldnt get his words right for carolin last yr wld be the one throwing carolin book at ppl for them to learn the words ;) hahaha. and yes hello mr g#. hee.

i think.. because of my hot-headedness im growing numb to all things irritating. so i wont blow up. but i still roll my eyes, im sorry thats more of a reflex action. but yeah.

ah how wonderful it is to sing with vjchoir again;) it feels gd to well, be part of a carolling grp. spread christmas cheers arnd, festive joys, and many other variations marie and nichole came up with;) martin complained my smile is too fake haha but hey at least i was smiling and i bet ppl were smitten with my smileys:)

it feels funny to think that people actually thank me for coming down to carol. haha. okay so im not part of the choir proper anymore and im lk some outsider or smthg.. ah but at least now im finally a senior (joinin the lao lao club) and im part of the great vjc tradition.

i think ive been too wrapped up in my own world. true ive been busy these few weeks and the coming days to be, but i still feel bad. in the midst of my busy schedules ive always had little thgs lk tt poppin up, making me realise that its time i take a breather and well, just try to lead a normal life and not to neglect my frens. im so glad im meeting her tmr cos im too tired to even call anyone and have a decent conversation. yes. i need my ten hours of slp so MICHELLE WHERE ARE YOU. hahaaha.

landed back in sg last nite after bout one wk in kl. shah alam was fun, im glad i went. i really do miss singing, and i realised that kids can be pretty adorable if not irritatingly pesty ;) but hey if they call me jie-jie and say im pretty, the least i can do is like them right? haha.
met up with my mum on the last day so i didnt go back with eastspring pri, thank goodness(i dont think i can stand another 5 hr bus journey) and i went shoppin! the shoppin centres are HUGE. and i did buy quite a bit of stuff considering i only shopped for one and a half days effectively. ;)

today we had our first session for the cna thg, will tell you all when its more finalised. but i think it shd be fun tryin to film stuff lah ;)

im still tired. i think i shall have to stick to ten hours of sleep everyday.

EVERYBODY SHOULD JUST COME BACK TO SINGAPORE SO I CAN START SPENDING TIME WITH EVERYONE. bah.
