lectures finally made sense to me. i think contract law is smthg i can identify with, yay. not public, not criminal, no legal system. CONTRACT. woohoo gd start. yeah baby.

anw here are pics of my hall food although i realised that they arent the usual hall food ive been eating for the past three wks(three wks! its been along time) but anw. u can figure out the portion. :)

breakfast! although this was the first time i saw scrambled eggs. normally we have poached eggs.

first time having rice in this hall and it was okay. mushy but edible. normally i have lasagne or pasta instead of the chicken, and prob potato or chips instead of rice. go figure.:)

so yup. i think im really gonna enjoy studying here in london because of all the opportunities i get here. i love trying new stuff and making new friends(both still ongoing ;D) i walked back hall with this guy frm my class today and he said he actually wanted to go travel singapore and hk during summer so he asked how long wld it take him to finish touring singapore. ahha. i erm, pondered for a while and couldnt' really give him a satisfactory ans. ithink i said smthg lk 3days-1wk. honestly if its just the tourist attractions probably can finish in a day or smthg. but i tried to say oh we've got lotsa shoppin and if you really want to go explore the smaller parts you can spend a long time in singapore. :) and of cos i offered to bring him arnd if he comes over.
it wld really be quite fun if he comes over.

and i think studying here makes me realise how lucky i am and i cant say enough. im loved, loved, loved. although it always makes me feel like crying;)

its lk the bugis village of london. i think. just that taiwan street wear is popular in bugis, but goth clothes are popular in camden market;) i didnt bring lotsa cash(lucky thg) but i think i got good buys. the teeshirts were really funny but they were all quite expensive considering they were only teeshirts. im beginning to love london for the fashion you get:) its fun to wear nice clothes. or be more experimental with clothes.

i really wanted to wear skirt and stockings today to cheer myself up but the sky is really grey today and its raining. so hm ill see how lah.

anw sch is starting soon and i can already imagine all the amazingly interesting stuff im gonna learn. yes alot of readings and alot of work and effort(i dont think u can fluff ur way through exams cos u really need to know what you're writing?) so yeah.

i hate going to the library. but ive been going quite alot.

coming to london has really been a gd experience. i learn alot, and i realise that i am ever so lucky to have family and frens who love and care about me. maybe i do need to know tt ppl still care, beneath my whatever icequeen exterior. and may has been a gd fren indeed;)

okay so now that mum's gone im really alone. not really alone cos i have so many frens here ;) okay not alot but enough to last me lah huh. strange thgs but im clicking so well with king's law ppl but thats only because they're all here in international hall ahha.
am drinking some fruit fusion tea now quite tasty. yum yum.
i think lse is cheating my money bcos my first wk of 'sch' is my opening wk to law, and we do stuff lk watch film and have lectures about study techniques part one and two, then introduction to the library and IT in law. im not gettin my money worth! ok ok i shall not complain lest my workload more than doubles when sch actually starts. but for now. :)

i havent really been doing anything since the start of the day, just woke up really early to catch mayling at breakfast so i could talk to her. honestly i dont feel like ive settled down yet, but at the same time my room looks very lived in already. just lotsa fruit flies arnd cos of all the fruits my mum keeps buying. but i think i shall be coping fine. i think i shall go organise my life right now though. and stop sleeping so much:)

okay frens im sorry i havent been updating but i really tried uploading pictures here and somehow its not working. ANW i figured my internet out myself how cool is tt;) im very proud of that thank you very much. anw the weather is still lovely, although its getting colder i think. my 20kg parcel finally arrived and i gotta admit, i think ive got too many clothes;) but its okay then ill save money on shoppin cos theres a big FCUK outside my sch. and basically ive been walking around. beautiful parks around here, very fat pigeons, and very expensive stuff around here. okay lah shampoo is cheaper here, but tissue paper is ridiculously much more expensive than singapore.
;) london eye is quite beautiful, but i think only cos its THE london eye. big ben is much more captivating, cos it looks gold plated;) and in the sun the reflection on its gold against the brown is simply quite stunning. u really get the whole majestic feel. and im in love with the colonial architecture u get here;) u can take pics of all the building! which makes me feel very touristy ahha. and yup i had great plans today but we couldnt get to where we wanted to cos haha my mum and i arent particularly gifted in the area of deciphering maps.;)

yup so when my internet is better i shall try to upload pics. meanwhile everyone take care, i will, and see u guys for xmas;)

that i am finally feeling it;) the everythg that comes with it. huge thank you to frens who turned up at simpang to have prata with me(yes just cos i wanted to have prata), in the middle of an afternoon and im quite sorry it poured in the middle of it and we got abit wet and had to move and some got really wet and lost tryin to find their way. but it was nice meeting up and i do love u guys;) its just that keeping up with the facade was quite difficult and truth is i do feel terrible and it was hard keeping it all up. but after girltalk with phua i do feel much better;D so thankss

ive done it twice;) this earmarks the beginning of my taitai lifestyle where ill just get the license for the sake of getting one(prob bcos ive sunk in too much money to get out of it), and ill just wait to get chauffeured around everywhere(only bmws pls).

i felt very warm at the end of my msia trip today;) i think its the big family syndrome cos there're so many ppl and they all care for each other. its wonderful;) anw there are high and lows from this visit. i now know a relative who claims to suffer from depression, which really came as a rude shock since he's always cheerful and quite a joker. everyone was offering him words of wisdom and encouragement and i really got reminded tt im really very lucky;) ive always felt very blessed for all that i have and i know that i probably now have everything that i can ask for, and i count my lucky stars for tt. so ppl yes count your blessings and you'll be a happier soul:D

and of cos ill be a happier woman if this is mine;) saw it on yenling's msn pic and well it really is a very nice bling

my house smells really nice now. my mum bought five big stalks of lilies;) really pretty and brightens up the whole house. really should do this more often! doesnt cost much to beautify a house.

i havent touched any of my books im such a lousy reader. i think i had a three hour afternoon siesta today sighh im officially a pig at the rate im eating. my mum cooked alot today, for both lunch and dinner. luckily catered food in uk will be such a turnoff;) i still have hope of not becoming fatty teo.

ive cleared out my cupboard, halfpacked my suitcase, and i listen to my mummy. im a gd girl;)

am super tired now and driving was lk shite but its not suppposed to be! but just went to visit bingybong at nus campus, i alr lk it there cos they have cheap macs! well guess who u'll be seeing more at nus;) anw we all have plans to crash bing's dorm one day (havent told bing yet though:D) and i have plans to crash eug's dorm one day so yay.

lse is having a function at a bar, from 7-9pm. tsktsk they're alr introducing us to drinking, those beerbellies-trotting-drunkards.

had a very nice chat on the phone last nite with eug my no.1 fan(sorry rai i stole ur only member of ur fanclub) and well now im listenin to steph sun's 我不难过 and tt just reminds me of the time in vj when i keep listening to that song over and over again and i nv tire of it. now tt my silly itunes lost all my songs i can only play tt song frm a website. i cant wait to get to eug's itunes.

i borrowed four books and bought one book so im gonna do alot of reading (at least i try) for the next few wks.

im thinking that the nxt few weeks will pass by very quickly and before i even want to ill be whisked off on quantas to a whole new place for a whole new beginning. ive never had the 'i dont wanna leave this plc' kind of mindset, in fact im quite rah-rahing to go;) but its true there are so many things i still wanna do (sleepoverssss) and so many places i still wanna go(sentosa! no zoo hahaha) and so many ppl i wanna meet. lets start with going ladies night;)

i woke up this morning and i knew it was gonna be a bad day. but i didnt realise how bad until i said gd morning to my mum and *gasp* i sounded lk skunk!! (only without the body. er. yeah.) and omg so disgusting. but i guess i am much better than skunk cos i didnt need fried chicken wings to hit my bass notes. baah baaaaah baaaaaaah.

and now im down with a slight fever, its just horrible. i can play pleghmball with may, woohoo.

feels great to win musica sacra, really! coming frm a singaporean choir where obviously our culture isnt as strong or deep as the other european countries. furthermore vocally we arent not as oblong faced as them. it is a great feat. im proud of ourselves;) i started crying really badly when i heard tt our marks were beyond 86, but really, didnt expect to be champions.
and so i sang our national anthem for the second time on the olympics stage:)
contemp got gold, which is gd, yay.

hmm the trip has been fun fun fun. i made alot of friends(its just funny how living together makes a difference) and honestly i felt tt there werent any stress on us to perform well, but just to do our best.

and thanks for making me realise the true meaning of singing noman. ;) this is the first time i cried singing it. the only other time i can rem crying lk i did in xiamen was when mary left for usa cos i simply couldnt imagine facing vjchoir without mary as my bitching buddy;( so pls dont think of me as a crybaby! anw i felt really sad cos i cant imagine chorale without the laolaos, and ive long associated chorale with them and them only. sigh one day ill be called laolao too;( but ppl come and go, and tts wad the song is about. so thanks victoria chorale;)

anw nv stay on a floor with all boys. when they pass by ur room they'll press the doorbell, knock on ur door, and run away. worst of all, they stink up ur room! eeeeww. ahha. and its true k our room smelled sour on the day after they played games in our room.

we must have played saboteur at least fifteen times tt night, and polar bear at least twenty times the whole trip.:)

and ill always rem the bitching session outside mingguo's room. man u can really get a six pack with chorale's help

and im the man, and emma's my woman. haha.

and ice cream is heaty, but not fried chicken wings - skunk the hunk.

and i cant beat the queen bitch (damn!) haha.

i wanted to go offline alr, but i heard the recording for contemporary and decided to dl stabat's one as well. just to remind myself of how far we've improved in a wk/how we CAN improve in a wk. today's performance was by far, the best run through we've had, but we still have a long way to go baby. its funny how i feel towards chorale, i cant quite put my finger to it. i dont feel attached to it, but all the same i am very affected by it. when we dont do well i feel the frustrations(i know we all want to do well but somewhere its just not happening), but because its chorale i just shut up and listen to what others have got to say(i think age agrees very well with me; as i grow older, my bossiness gets curbed more and more!)and then at dinner i was all thoughtful and quiet. so much so i wasnt hungry at all.
so, just one wk more to flying off and we're all gearing up to go. yay go chorale. me and maylingleemayling will buy the beautifulest small cute sg flags so we can all wave them arnd in xiamen and tell everyone happy national day;D

i stayed up the whole night(watched love actually to pass off time) just to see zidane being sent off cos he head butted this stupid italian lk a bull? gosh how silly was tt. and i really thought france wld win cos of the early goal. and they had lotsa chances in the second half and the extra time. argh. Argh. ARGH.

haha im super slow but hey everyone shd go sign up for this care to dance thg k? its a volunteer thg which is half lindy hop workshop and the other half u get to teach someone else;) i got to teach cute pri sch kids. my kid was this monkeyish girl called whitney( i had to ask her if she cld sing me a whitney housten song..and she rolled her eyes at me!!) but she was really adorable and i think she had a lot of fun with me;D she kept tryin to show me a dead lizard, and ran off to explore snails and grasshoppers in her sch garden while i think i stood lk one metre away.
anw my grp was fantastically nice. we had three chiobus(AHEM) one tsd girl one rj girl three crazy ri boys one nus mama one nba yaoming one friendly girl and one deep thinker.
and i had my first speed dating experience haha. cos we kept changing partners while learnin the dance and one of our frens commented tt it was alike speed dating. then without missing a beat he turned to his partner and said 'i like to walk, what about you?'aha. ri boysss.

so i came back home tt day with a happy heart and aching legs. i shd be going for more dancing this fri with dearest rai, yay

got a random phone call from rai today;D she was looking back at our paper conversations during lectures and she came across funny stuff so she decided to share with me. i could remember some, and it felt really good to laugh over them again;D now we're all so separated sometimes and its hard to talk and share like before. but we all grow up and we all move on so its all part of growing up. and life. ;D but we're meeting up tues so yay

high tea buffet was not too bad, but definitely left me with no room for billy bombers. i realised that i really miss talking to michelle;D im glad she had time to spare before dinner! its refreshing to not talk about clothes and makeup and the same few boys

im just glad that my sis is back so i can get am chauffeur and a going out buddy:D
